Hamburg as a location for industry

With an annual industrial gross value added of €20 billion, Hamburg is Germany’s strongest industrial city and one of Europe’s major industrial regions. Hamburg is home to approx. 600 industrial companies (with 20 and more employees) that provide jobs for 120,000 employees and 4,000 training positions.

Land for companies is becoming increasingly scarce – especially in metropolitan areas. To strengthen Hamburg as a business location, new sites are continuously being developed and marketed. We will be happy to share up-to-date information on industrial and commercial areas available in Hamburg.
