Apply now for Helga Stödter Prize

Deadline on May 23, 2025 - award for "Mixed Leadership" presented by Chamber of Commerce and Helga Stödter Foundation

Companies in Hamburg now have until the deadline of May 23, 2025 to apply for the Helga Stödter Prize for "Mixed Leadership" presented by the Chamber of Commerce and the Helga Stödter Foundation.

At the turn of 2024/2025, the number of top female managers in 160 DAX-listed companies rose to a record 136 - an increase of 14 over the previous year. Nearly one in five board members is now a woman, according to Ernst & Young (EY) in January 2025. However, four out of five board members are male. Since 2012, the Helga Stödter Prize has honoured Hamburg-based companies "that make an exemplary and sustained effort to achieve a balanced ratio of women and men in management positions". The prize is backed by the European Women's Management Development Network (EWMD Deutschland e.V.) and the Association of Women in Management (FIM e.V. ), the Association of German Entrepreneurs (VdU) and the "Versammlung Ehrbarer Kaufleute zu Hamburg e.V." (VEEK). Hamburger Energienetze won the 2024 prize in the "Large Company" category while the Saint Brand agency, and UMCO, a consultancy for chemical compliance, won the prize in the "SME" category.
