Increased aid for independent artists
Dr Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media, pointed out: "Freelance artists bring new productions to stages across Hamburg even in conditions exacerbated by the pandemic. We owe those in all genres different perspectives on the pressing issues of the day." The increased funding for projects in the independent scene amounts to an appreciation of creative work and ensures that art and culture can unfold even in challenging times, he added.
