Changing city centre and creative interim uses - interview with Dr Katja Wolframm, Head of Property and Urban Development

Many city centres in Germany are in a state of flux. Online shopping is booming, and established retailers are disappearing. Even big department stores are closing their doors. Hamburg's city centre is also changing, says Dr Katja Wolframm, Head of Property and Urban Development at Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft. The question is how to shape and promote change. How can public spaces in the city centre be revived? Pop-up stores and temporary uses may hold the answers, as shown by the Future Fashion Lab (Fabric) in downtown Hamburg. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Wolframm reveals what it's all about and why Hamburg is so attractive to creatives.
