While Ulf Buermeyer, a lawyer and host of the political podcast “State of the Nation”, conducts research into basic digital rights, for Sarah Spiekermann-Hoff, head of the Institute for Business Information Technology & Society at the University of Vienna, everything hinges on the essential need for digital ethics. The polymath Jaron Lanier will scrutinise the business models of social media, and the psychologist Julia Brailovskaia has taken on exploring the psychological level of human media behaviour. The event is being hosted by the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft backed by nextMedia.Hamburg, the Hamburg School of Ideas and the Minsitry for Culture and Media. Tickets are available online.
