6 April 2022
New event increases funding opportunities for founders - tickets now available

North German impact start-ups that pursue socially, economically or ecologically sustainable goals can apply for the first Impact StartAperitivo in Hamburg to be held in May. Applications are now being accepted for the qualifying event on April 20, 2022. Eight finalists will go forward to pitch live in front of investors and experts in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce on May 5, 2022.

Impact founders meet investors

The Impact StartAperitivo is an initiative of the investor network of IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH, Planet A Ventures, Hamburg Invest's Startup Unit and the Chamber of Commerce. The event should forge direct contact between founders and investors as well as corporate representatives and offer start-ups even more financing opportunities. The "Best Pitch Award" will be presented on May 5, 2022. The agenda features several live pitches and talks with experts. Founders such as Fridtjof Detzner, co-founder of Planet A Ventures and Jimdo, Varena Junge, climate activist, joint founder of Yook, and Wilfried Gillrath, investor and former CEO of Lichtblick, will give insight into sustainability, social impact and collaborations with start-ups.

Qualifying event

The Impact StartAperitivo is open to start-ups in the fields of green tech, circular economy, sustainability, social impact and education. Companies are classified as an impact start-up based on the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which were established in 2015 as part of the "Agenda 2030". Founders can submit a two-minute elevator pitch for the qualifying event on April 20, 2022. Interested visitors can now purchase tickets for the finale in the Chamber of Commerce.
