Wind Energy Hamburg and H2 Expo to get underway

Scotland's Minister for Business to open H2 Expo and Conference (September 27-30, 2022)

The four-day Wind Energy Hamburg opens its doors Tuesday (September 27-30, 2022) parallel to the H2 Expo and Conference. Around 1,400 exhibitors and over 35,000 delegates from all corners of the globe are expected. Green hydrogen, decarbonisation and a worldwide hydrogen network are likely to top the agenda. Stakeholders in both industries will have plenty of opportunities to exchange views on the latest trends and the future of their sectors.

H2 Expo to answer big issues

Ivan McKee, Scotland's Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise, will open the H2 Conference on Tuesday. The opening will be followed by a panel discussion on the hydrogen sector focusing on global challenges, e.g., securing the supply of hydrogen-generated energy through international co-operation. Presentations and talks by the Renewable Energy Cluster Hamburg (EEHH) on Wednesday will highlight the role of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and that of northern Germany in a hydrogen economy. A panel discussion on Thursday will shed light on the extent to which renewable energies, including wind power and hydrogen, can meet demand in the coming decades.

Energy crisis, AI and gender equality

The German Wind Energy Association will host a panel on the New Horizons Stage (Wednesday) on achieving energy independence swiftly. Companies will present their latest approaches and ideas in the Speakers Corner. The Hamburg-based consulting company Multiversum will outline (Wednesday) how artificial intelligence can be used in wind power. A talk on "Women in Wind Energy" will be held Friday in the Global Markets Theatre with emphasis on gender equality, diversity and inclusion.
