KLIMAready includes the Logistics Initiative Hamburg, the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster, Hamburg Aviation, Life Science Nord, Maritime Cluster Northern Germany, foodactive/Hamburg Food Cluster and Finance City Hamburg. The project will run until mid-2027 during which period the consortium will help organisations across Hamburg with their energy transition and to overcome climate-related difficulties.
Seven clusters across Hamburg have joined forces in KLIMAready to work towards the 1.5-degree Celsius global warming limit, climate neutrality and sustainability on every level. The project has received EUR 2 million in subsidies from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is also funded by the City of Hamburg. Innovative solutions and co-operation are crucial to the long-term success and resilience of entire industries.

Projects to benefit climate
The project starts with an analysis of the current situation including a cross-sector survey. Based thereon, ideas for measures will be developed. Fields of action will be identified, stakeholders networked, and ideas will be developed and evaluated. In addition to the resulting project, the aim is to secure and develop expertise in the climate sector within the clusters. "We are really looking forward to working with our members over the next three years to develop concrete solutions for the various climate-related challenges through cross-cluster collaboration," said Carmen Schmidt, Managing Director of Logistik-Initiative Hamburg, which is managing the cross-cluster project.
