Ströer employs over 10,000 staff in 100 places and about 300,000 media carriers across Europe. The company, which is headquartered in Cologne and has a branch in Hamburg, is developing into an economic catalyst and successful media company. Emphasis is on the company's sustainability strategy following the rapid implementation of such projects in Hamburg's urban spaces. Ströer is also driving digitalised, outdoor advertising and is relying on digital video screens with emission-free green electricity instead of posters made of paper. Ströer is also going to great efforts to become climate-neutral by 2025, to slash its CO2 emissions by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
Ströer SE & Co. is among the major German out-of-home advertising, online advertising, billboards and street furniture companies and is taking centre stage in nextMedia.Hamburg's "Made it in Hamburg" campaign. The company exemplifies the importance of Hamburg as a media centre. The campaign highlights Ströer's quest for more local sustainability in the advertising industry.

Collaborative projects with NGOs and allies
"Joint projects with NGOs and others is key to raising the visibility of sustainability issues towards a good future," said Catharina Enderlein, Head of Media Creation at Ströer in Hamburg. This is also reflected by its latest campaign, "Welcoming Out", for more acceptance of the queer community in Hamburg. Ströer is also lending its support to the creative industry as part of the "Moin Kultur" campaign. A poster competition aims to make art and culture visible in public spaces. The media company also works with urban institutions to encourage people to save energy. Read more about Ströer's success on the website or watch video interviews.
