Twenty-three firms in Hamburg attending MIPIM 2023

Leading property trade fair gets underway in Cannes from March 14 to 17, 2023

Twenty-three Hamburg-based firms will be hosting a joint stand at the leading MIPIM property fair in Cannes from March 14 to 17, 2023. MIPIM brings the entire value chain together offering delegates an opportunity to develop new business and to meet international stakeholders and investors. Emphasis will be on the latest international property development projects and sources of capital.

Showcasing Hamburg's dynamic property market

"Hamburg will present itself as a particularly attractive location by national and international comparison. This has to do with the city's quality of life, which is highlighted in a wide variety of country rankings. Long-term residential construction, which is visible in major urban development regions and Hamburg's dynamic commercial property market should encourage investors and project developers to do business with us," said Karen Pein, Senator for Urban Development and Housing.

Regional Innovation Strategy incentivising investments

"The 'Hamburg of Tomorrow' is being created in close co-operation between society, science and business. People are the centre of attention in Hamburg. Forward-looking places such as Science City Bahrenfeld establish both technological and social advances in accordance with our Regional Innovation Strategy. They decide how we want to live and work in future and create the best criteria for the property sector to choose and invest in Hamburg," said Dr Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Invest.

Hamburg now among Europe's most promising investment centres

HafenCity Hamburg GmbH, Hamburg Invest and Hamburger Sparkasse are among the companies presenting the city at the joint stand in Cannes. Hamburg recently topped the rank of “European Cities and Regions of the Future 2023” in the “Larger Cities” category in a global benchmark survey of Europe's high-potential business locations published by fDi Intelligence, a subsidiary of the Financial Times group. The awards will be presented during MIPIM.
